Bush campaign site rejects non-US visitors!
by bert Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004 at 8:27 AM

Bush official site only accessible from US!

The official campaign site of George W. Bush is currently not accessible from outside the US. It seems to be using some technology to restrict visitors to web sites based on geography. This is a dangerous precedent clearly threatening the universality of the Web!

Former 'independent' pro-Bush website turned to pro-Kerry website! =^_^=

« BUSH CAMPAIGN GROUP ENDORSES KERRY
"Yes, Bush Can" now says "no, Bush can't!"

Yes, Bush Can, an independent group dedicated to communicating Bush policies directly to the public, has abandoned its campaign and is officially endorsing John Kerry for President. »

What for ?

Who is interested in visiting such crap ?
And why would someone be interested ?
Isn't this a PR stunt ?

"security reasons"

"Security reasons" have been cited for the official site of the Bush-Cheney campaign rejecting requests from outside North America since Monday morning.

Nobody seems to have considered however that it might be a well executed scheme aimed at increasing international awareness of the site.
