SOLDIERS SENT TO IRAQ DESPITE POSITIVE DRUG TESTS
11/20/2003

Although the U.S. Army says it has a zero-tolerance policy on drugs, 21 Iowa National Guard soldiers who tested positive for drugs were sent to Iraq, the Associated Press reported Nov. 16.

The soldiers tested positive for drugs the day before they were scheduled to be deployed overseas. Army officials said that 13 soldiers from other states also tested positive for drugs but were sent to Iraq, as well.

Officials at Fort McCoy, Wis., which serves as a multi-state gathering point for Reserve and Guard troops, said a number of the soldiers took drugs with the hopes of getting caught and being sent home.

"A positive on their drug test is not going to keep them here, unless there's a dependency issue," said Linda Fournier, a Fort McCoy spokeswoman. " These units have to have so many people to go overseas."

The Army said it would address the drug-test results when the troops return.

Big Chief

Look at paragraph 3 of article. These were youngsters who
apparently didn't want to fulfill their contract and thought they could sneak by. The best course of action was to send them and show them that it didn't work. You're not talking about addicts here, just kids.
The cartoon in the article sucks. Belgium has been maintained by the US for years since they are so small that they have no national product (no men for workers). I'd hate for our Boy Scouts to have to come there and straighten things out.
Research your articles before you publish them, National Enquirer (Belgium style).

No Blood For Oil

Hey Big Chief! Maybe those kids didn{t want to kill a bunch of civilians so that Dick Cheney and his Halliburton buddies could get richer and richer. Maybe they want to live in peace with their neighbours instead...

US millitary uses amphetamines
by BushCIAOil Friday, Jan. 02, 2004 at 8:18 PM

The US millitary uses amphetamines constantly. Look at the dead Canadians who were shot by that drugged-out pilot. He had no idea what was going on he was so cooked up on snort!

Also the party in Afghanistan, blown away by another drug-riddled wackued-up pilot.

There are plenty of stories and if you look at the dead guys in Iraq, many of them are from non-hostile vehicle accidents, which could indicate drug-induced killings.

Big Chief on Belgium
by Jesus Saturday, Jan. 03, 2004 at 7:30 AM

Hey Big Chief,
You and Dubya suffer from the same delusion, i.e., Amerika is King O'the World. Belgium does 3/4 of it's trade with the rest of the E.U., Amerika maintains squat there. If the dollar keeps dropping against the Euro and Dubya keeps running up the deficit and unemployment, even Belgium might be stronger financially.
Maybe you ought to get your facts straight, get your head out of the tabloids and do some real reading.
