Dit proces zorgt ervoor dat steeds meer rijkdom zich concentreert in de handen van enkelen. Het veroorzaakt ook oorlog, economische, sociale en culturele uitsluiting, de vernietiging van het milieu, en een inperking van individuele rechten en vrijheden. Bovendien is het een voedingsbodem voor extreem-rechts.

De globalisering grijpt plaats onder de leiding van de grote multinationale ondernemingen, maar wordt mede gedragen door verschillende internationale instellingen (Wereldhandelsorganisatie, Internationaal Muntfonds, Wereldbank, ...), die slechts handelen in het belang van de multinationale ondernemingen en een elite van superrijke mensen.

Op het Tweede Europees Sociaal Forum in Parijs willen duizenden mensen helpen om via een democratisch debat een andere wereld op te bouwen. Ze komen samen om concrete voorstellen te formuleren, die gelinkt aan doeltreffende actie ervoor kunnen zorgen dat basisrechten gaan primeren boven financiële en commerciële belangen.

Comme à Porto Alegre et à Florence, ce Forum Social Européen sera un espace ouvert de rencontres et d’échanges pour l’approfondissement de la réflexion entre une pluralité de mouvements affirmant qu’ " un autre monde est possible " et s’opposant " à un processus de mondialisation capitaliste.

Ce processus accélère la concentration des richesses, génère guerres, exclusions économiques, sociales, culturelles et destruction de l’environnement, restreint les droits et libertés individuelles et est un terreau sur lequel l’extrême-droite s’épanouit.

La mondialisation est commandé par les grandes entreprises multinationales, mais est aussi supportée par des institutions internationales (Organisation Mondiale du Commerce, Fond International Monétaire, Banque Mondiale...) qui agissent au service des intérêts des grandes entreprises multinationales.

Sur le Deuxième Forum Social Européen à Paris des milliers de personnes veulent aider à construire des alternatives au monde actuel par un débat démocratique. Ils se rencontrent pour formuler des propositions concrètes, articulées à des actions efficaces pour que les droits fondamentaux des êtres humains l’emportent sur les intérêts financiers et commerciaux.

there will be bus going to and back different places.
"la Villette" e "Bobigny" are quite near one another; underground and
RER (a train line i suppose) connects the two places (20 minutes far),
and metallo is 20 minutes from each one.

there's a place for the mediacenter at "la villette".
lots of groups which are involved with METALLO-medialab will be also in "la villette"; people decided that having a space for mediacenter into "maison du metallo" would be quite unuseful because metallo is quite far from ESF, so they asked for a room/hall @villette and asked to self.manage it.
it would be a space into which all independent media can join.

The programme is still open but rooms and schedules are almost full. If you are interested in proposing workshops or ateliers please send your proposal quickly. Everyone can partecipate in the workshops, there will be and also free-spaces for screenings and info-shop. "la maison du metallo" will close more or less at midnight.
