De oorlog in Afghanistan is niet gedaan!!!

"Daar twijfelen steeds meer Afghaanse vrouwen aan. Een rapport van Human Rights Watch (HRW) van 17 december 2002 klaagt het beleid aan van krijgsheer Ismail Khan, de grote baas van Herat, in het westen. De man kan rekenen op steun uit Iran, maar ook uit Washington waar minister van Defensie Donald Rumsfeld hem beschreef als een bezadigd man die het Amerikaans vertrouwen waardig is. Khan krijgt militaire en financiële hulp van Washington. Volgens HRW verbeterde het lot van de vrouwen na de val van de Taliban enigszins, maar wordt dat nu weer uitgehold. Meisjes en vrouwen mochten terug naar school en sommigen ook naar het werk. Met de beperkingen die Khan oplegt, zullen de meeste jonge vrouwen echter na hun studies geen job kunnen uitoefenen. Het Afghaanse Hooggerechtshof oordeelde intussen ook dat jongens en meisjes niet naar dezelfde scholen mogen. Maar daar er nagenoeg geen aparte meisjesscholen bestaan, zal het met die maatregel voor veel meisjes alweer onmogelijk worden school te lopen. Vrouwen die hun mond durven opendoen, worden zowel in Herat als elders zwaar aangepakt."

Deze regering toont aan dat er geen verschil is met de vorige, hoe zou het ook kunnen, verkiezingen zijn opium voor het volk.

Hoe komt het dat de mensen in Elsene op zo weinig steun kunnen rekenen van NGO's, "andersglobalistische" groeperingen,...?!
