Guatemala woke up to a BLACK DAY... People from the country, organized by former General Efraín Rios Montt, FRG (Frente Republicano Nacional, the official party)came today in buses to the city, to aclaim to his genocide leader Rios Montt to be inscribed as a candidate for the presidence.

About 9:30 in the morning strategic buildings and press became a target of this extremly violent actions, there was no cops, no security at all. This people were part of civil autodefense patrols , pac´s (non militar people armed against guerrilla) THIS IS NOT A POPULAR REACTION. This is a demostration of power that Rios Montt still have. Horror and destruction comes with him.

FRG is the party wich rules this country, before they came into the presidence they promissed to the people: freedom, security and justice. But there is a wave of violence and roberies to give people the felling of "need STRONG hand" as they say.

We just can´t handle this. There is never peace at this fascist country, generally indigenous doesn´t have enough education to deal with information and they are majority 80% at least.

Guatemala is dominated by canchitos, as we call them (blondies), majorities are not represented. There is no democratic process. There is a tv media monopoly, and they are in the side of the actual government.

I´m writing this because this is too much, but we live in a blind people land... We don´t remember, that they killed our parents, our sons, our daughters, our past, it started with conquest and never stopped... The spanish (of that time of course) became militar, militar became fear leaders, this must stop.

Lots of us will move out the country if Rios Montt is just inscribed (and that is inconstitutional, he legally just can´t). They will do what it takes to keep on rulling this FARM...
