D'après ce que j'en ai vu le rassemblement n'a attiré que quelques dizaines de personne, majoritairement des islamistes mais aussi 2-3 personnes du MRAX qui devaient se sentir un peu seules...
Il faut noter la très faible participation des élèves, premier(e)s concerné(e)s par cette interdiction alors que la session d'examens étaient terminées.

Il n'y a pas eu d'incidents contrairement à la dernière fois (où une journaliste avait été lynchée à coup de cannette).

Parce qu'on n'est pas d'accord que les femmes doivent s'habiller de manière spéciale, être séparées des hommes, se cacher, baisser les yeux, respecter un couvre-feu et plein de tabous pour être décentes. Ca n'a rien à voir avec une thématique de gauche.
Parce que le PTB ne l'a pas compris, il a fait un grand flop aux dernières élections et les manifs ultérieures sur ce thème seront un flop aussi. Tant mieux.
Vous parler de la liberté de porter le foulard. Pourquoi ne parlez-vous pas de la liberté de celles qui ne le portent pas de circuler sans harcèlement de la part de mecs qui les trouvent "indécentes"? (sifflets, regards collants ou méchants etc)

La journaliste en question est Emmmanuelle Praet, elle a eu le malheur de penser qu'il n'y avait pas de problème à ce qu'elle vienne en jupe avec ses cheveux blonds au vent pour couvrir la manif du 16 juin devant l'Athénée Bruxelles 2. elle n'a pas songé à se munir d'un signe distinctif pour signaler qu'elle était de la presse. Elle a d'abord reçu des insultes ensuite divers projectiles (oeufs, tomates) ensuite elle a reçu une volée de canette dont plusieurs l'ont atteint à la tête.
Qui est raciste dans ce cas?
Qui restreint la liberté d'habillement sur l'espace public dans ce cas?
Qui des "progressistes PTB" a dénoncé cet acte lamentable?

Au nom de quoi certaines mainfestations de racisme seraient-elles moins condamnables? Au nom de la bêtise?

Vous n'etiez pas au courant? Mais mes loulous, avant de prendre position, il faudrait prendre le temps de se rendre compte dans quel milieu vous entrez en vous informant sur le contexte de l'Athénée Bruxelles 2: le PCP et sa clique d'islamistes est un groupe qui applique des méthodes d'intimidation dignes du fascisme.

Ce débat est une très bonne chose: c'est dans des moments tels que ceux-ci que l'on peut voir qui souhaite le progrès de l'humanité et découvrir ceux qui fréquentent ou qui soutiennent les conservateurs les plus extrêmes au nom d'une soi-disant tolérance qui est visiblement plus qu'instrumentalisée!

Do we need to be from the PTB to fight for equal rights for all citicens : laïc, Christian, jew, muslim?

As for me it is a simple fact. I think muslims should hev the right to live their religion.

Could you imagine people on this webiste reclaiming that jews should not be allowed te have "kipa" on public places, or that jew women should not be allowed te have a wig in public places or schools.

As long as people have the right to have a cross, a kippa, a wig, .... muslims should have the right te live their religion as well.

As I understand from the report there were a few people from MRAX (anti racist movement). This means that anti-racism still mobelizes and not all progresive people are affected by "le fundamentalism laïc". I hope we will be with more on sunday to stand against racisme and the growing hate towards muslims.

I think the problem is that it seems that you're only progressive when you say that moslimgirls must have the right to were their foulard.

What moslimsgirls, who don't want to were the foulard think, does not metter it seems.

The fact that people don't choose their religion but is most of the times learned by family, enviroment, does not to seem to matter.

That moslims have the right to live their religion, no problem with that.

But maybe also think at younger people who don't want to believe.

Be progressive and demand that children, youngsters can choose at an age what religion they want to believe, if they want to believe.

Many moslimwomen were there foulard and sure they most have the right to live their religion. But don't forget the moslimwomen who don't want to wear this.

Yep Guido, people should have the right to liver their religion and also the right not be religous of laïc.

But is seems that muslims in Belgium are deprived from their right to live their religion. That is why some muslims and others want to demonstrate : equal rights.

The gathering Friday, in front of the oppressive school, was no manifestation so it should not be compared to it. Furthermore only few days before the initiative was announced on a very limited scale.
On top of it, those who participated had to face the blunt and obtuse reaction they should be considered hardliners, democrats fighting for the wrong cause etc.

In my opinion the action was a success, certainly seen the fact that one year ago the group that is affected most by this sort of discrimination, Muslim girls, hardly expressed any resistance against their oppression in a society said to be tolerant, multicultural, blablabla

The position of the "Executieve van de Moslims" is irrelevant. In case you are better informed as I am, you may tell me one example the EMB was able to formulate a stand in whatever matter since it was created, and recreated and recreated. I ame not telling that the PTB is the only progressive force. It is rather a question. As it seems that everybody who really wants to strugle for equal rights is told to be PTB.
