Il faut éclarcir un point :

On a parlé d'un résultat de 2,3% à Anvers pour Resist. Le "Soir" a donné ce chiffre. Les résultats publiés par le Ministère de l'Intérieur font état d'un résultat de 0,9% à Anvers pour Resist.

What Protesta does not explicitly show is the comparison in the Flemish senate list between PvdA (communist, pro-stalin and mao) in 1999 and Resist in 2003 (and this is legitimate beacuse the pvda was now a part in the Resist-alliance with the Arab European League).

I think he does that so it would not be too clear that the PvdA has LOST THESE ELECTIONS (you can see that however on the Flemish votes for parliament).

It's clear for everybody that the LSP (communist pro-Trotsky) has recoivered some of the already marginal PvdA votes because these people did not want to vote Resist.

And besides: all this is marginal anyway. The average leftist voter had voted for social democracy (SP.A-Spirit and PS), that made a big gain.

The 0,9 for Resist is for the whole electoral district of Antwerpen (this represents a loss compared to the score for the pvda in 1999) and the 2,3 is for Antwerp-city (this is a win of 0,6% compared to the pvda).

We patiently await the comments of the PvdA-PTB who on their website only mention one positive result in the small town of Genk and remain very very quiet...

Het is alweer een verkiezingsoverwinning op z'n PVDA's : nog steeds geen haan die er naar kraait, maar zoals ik op de PVDA-site las : we hebben nog 4 à 5 jaar de tijd nodig om de verrechtsing recht te trekken. Tja, dat maakt verdere commentaar overbodig.

Wat ik verontrustender vind is de natuurlijk de stijging van het Blok in de provincie Antwerpen (+3,22%) die op zich al groter is dan RESIST. Ik vraag me als Antwerpenaar toch af of Abou Jahjah en co niet eerder bondgenoten zijn van het Blok dan een tegengewicht. Of zouden de rellen, de intimidaties, de Arab-pride kreten en het Abou Jahjah-gescandeer in de straten werkelijk van die aard zijn dat ze beide gemeenschappen dichter bij elkaar brengen?
Over personencultus gesproken, wat me ook opvalt is de goede persoonljke score van de lijsttrekker (leider?) Abou Jahjah en zijn reactie op de povere score : (goede samenwerking, blah blah en) ik wil graag een gemeenteraadszetel in 2007.
