Vandaag kan je in de kranten lezen dat er een interim-regering is aangesteld in Irak. Hier volgt wat achtergrondinfo over deze interim-regering.

Enkele dagen geleden ontving ik een email van Dirk Adriaenssens(SOS Irak)in welk hij een vraag van Glen Rangwala, de prof van Cambridge die de rapporten van Bush,Powell&Blair heeft ontmaskerd, had gepost.

Glen is aan het werken aan een pagina over deze interim-regering en zocht nog info. Ik heb hem niet veel kunnen helpen maar ga hier enkele dingen van zijn site vertalen.

Het Pentagon creëerde in februari het "Iraqi Reconstruction and Development Council (IRDC)", dat bestaat uit Irakezen die deel zullen uitmaken van een tijdelijke regering.

de leden van het IRDC zijn officiëel in dienst genomen door "Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC)", een bedrijf dat contracten heeft met het Pentagon.

Tot oktober 2002 was David Kay vice-president van dit bedrijf.

Kay was een voormalig V.N.-inspecteur.

"He led teams that found and identified the scope and extent of Iraqi uranium enrichment activities, located the major Iraqi center for assembly of nuclear weapons, and seized large amounts of documents on the Iraqi nuclear weapons program, spending four days as a Saddam hostage in a Baghdad parking lot." Christopher Ryan Henry was tot en met 7 februari 2003 "SAIC's Corporate Vice President for Strategic Assessment and Development", nu is hij de"Principal Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Policy". Defenselink.mil

SAIC baat ook "Voice of the New Iraq", het radio-station dat op 15 februari werd opgericht in Umm Qasr en gefinancierd door de VS-regering.

SAIC heeft een samenwerkingsakkoord met Bechtel, één van de bedrijven die een miljardendeal in de wacht gesleept heeft voor de reconstructie van Irak. Dit samenwekingsverband dient om nucleair afval te dumpen in de Yucca mountain waartegen in de states al veel protest was. saic.com

Bechtel zou ook gelinkt zijn aan de familie Ben Laden.

"According to an article in the May 5 issue of New Yorker magazine, several bin Laden family members -- part of a large, Saudi Arabian family that made a fortune in the construction business -- invested about $10 million in a private equity fund operated by former subsidiary of Bechtel before Sept. 11." Vader Bush moest uit de Raad van Bestuur stappen van de Carlyle-groep, een bedrijf dat Pentagon-contracten heeft, nadat in de Wall Street Journal een artikel verschenen was.

"Wall Street Journal has reported (Sept. 28, 2001) that, " George H.W. Bush, the father of President Bush, works for the bin Laden family business in Saudi Arabia through the Carlyle Group, an international consulting firm." Isuisse

In die RVB van Carlyle zit ook de vroegere Engels eerste minister, John Major.

In de RVB van Bechtel zit een zekere Shultz.

"He is a member of the board of directors of Bechtel Group, Fremont Group, Gilead Sciences, Unext.com, and Charles Schwab & Co. He is also chairman of the International Council of J. P. Morgan Chase and on the advisory committee of Infrastructureworld." Hoover-standard

Onlangs nog schreef Richard Shulzt samen met mensen van de PNAC, (Project for a new american century,http://www.newamericancentury.org/RebuildingAmericasDefenses.pdf) een brief. Die eindigde met:

"We urge you, Mr. President, to make it a legislative and budgetary priority to increase defense spending to these levels over the next few years in order to ensure that the security challenges we face are met." Americancentury

Een ander bedrijf dat een miljardendeal in de wacht sleepte was Halliburton, een bedrijf waar Cheney nog president is geweest en daarvoor enkele jaren geleden nog in opspraak kwam, samen met president Bush.

Garner, een Amerikaanse ex-generaal, die eventjes "baas" was in Irak, wordt nu vervangen door Paul Bremer. Independent

Wat info over Paul Bremer:

In 1986, the President appointed him Ambassador-at-Large for Counter Terrorism responsible for developing and implementing America's global policies to combat terrorism. He served as top advisor to the President and Secretary of State on terrorism for the next three years.

In September 1999, Speaker of the House of Representatives Hastert appointed Ambassador Bremer Chairman of the National Commission on Terrorism. The Commission's mandate was to review America's counter-terrorism policies. The Commission reported its findings and recommendations to the President of the United States and to the Speaker in June 2000.

gaat over het feit dat Bremer die nu "chef" is in Irak, ook raadgever voor Bush was ivm Homeland Security.

Het is toch ongelooflijk dat ze daar mee weg komen!!
Is er op politiek vlak nu echt niemand die hier iets kan aan doen?
