HARDER AXIONS!!!!!!!!!!!! by axion speaks louder then words Monday, Mar. 31, 2003 at 10:02 AM |
They're pushing it!
Over 15 million people may demonstrate against it... yet if he alone decides to attack a country, he can do so AND EVEN PROBABLY WILL GET AWAY WITH IT TOO!
Along with many others (i guess), i've found myself asking lately what use democracy has when the voice people can create is ignored? Also, the use of going out in the street to protest if even 15 milion voices can't shout loud enough for that one man to hear 'em. What do we need to do to get our demoCRAZY to listen to us.? Do the leaders of the world really need the formation of BLACK BLOCKS all over the world before they'll listen? Does the French Revolution really needs to be done all over again only global?
Of course i strongly feel along with the "not in my name"-movement.
But at the same time i think more radical ways will be required if we want to realy stop this war in even the slightest way.
If we can only block 1 plane or ship, that means 1 ship less of killing machines. Even if we only block a ship full of p.ex. toiletpaper, that means those american soldiers won't go on killing, raping, murdering, nuking, etc... as fast as they could.
EVEN IF WE ONLY SAVE 1 PERSON'S LIFE, IT WILL ALL BE WORTH IT.
We can't let the gouvernment think they'll get away with this: discriminating protestors and waving around long and hars punishments. Belgium was against the war and officially still is, then how come we are on the list 'coalition of the willing'? And the transits of OFFENCIVE war-materials are ILLEGAL!
Herefor we call for harder axions.
We gotta stop blokking the ostend airport for 2 hours, but MAKE DAMN SURE NONE OF THOSE PLANES TAKE OFF. one way or another...
We gotta stop walking around singing peacesongs and yelling 'no war for oil', but GO TO THE AMERICAN AMBASSY AND SCARE THE HELL OUT OF THOSE AMBASSADORS, SO THEY GO HOME.
We gotta stop standing behind a line of cops, yelling to he ambassy, BUT BREAK THROUGH THAT LINE AND GO TO THE AMBASSY.
Whenever Bush would be in or around belgium, MASSIVE PROTESTS SHOUL PREVENT HIM FROM GETTING OUT OF THE PLANE.
We gotta show the so-called leaders WHAT democracy really means: THE PEOPLE WHO CHOSE WHAT THEIR LEADERS SHOULD DO, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
Their role is NOTHING besides doing what we tell them to do, NOT AT ALL THE OTHER WAY.
Protesting is still way too sterile, to clean in Belgium.
Meanwhile, 'till our protest can climb up to another level,...

Vegt niet tegen windmolens by Bernd Noelmans Monday, Mar. 31, 2003 at 12:04 PM |
Groetjes,
Bernd.
Volledig mee eens by Stephane Monday, Mar. 31, 2003 at 1:44 PM |
Mvg
Are you blind ? by BOUMONT Monday, Mar. 31, 2003 at 1:54 PM |
Hey Boys, are you blind ?
They are safely installed at the White House, the Pentagon, the House of Commons,...
And you are on the battlefield !
You are 23, inexperienced and, maybe, you were jobless not so long ago.
They are quite older, experienced, well payd and they have power and influent friends.
What do you realy think you are doing in Iraq ?
Defending peace, freedom ? What else ?..
Open your eyes and look !
The battle for oil, for contracts,...
That's why you will lose your life in Iraq.
Those who will come back will bring a sad package in their bags : illness and shame !
Look what happened to those who came back in 1991 : illness due to ammunitions about which the U.S. government perfectly knew they are higly toxic as well for the crew than for the civilians.
Look what they left behind in Iraq when they go : 4.5 bn years radioactive inheritage.
They decided to leave the iraqi regime in place able to torture the rebels!
They decided to abandon that people in a mess where they destroyed the complete infrastructure.
They decided to let the children die after months of cancer, suffering without medicines, without food and care.
Say : »NO ! Now, it's enhough ! »
Come back to your homeland and tell your President, your Government, that you don't agree with its policy.
Tell them you won't fight people for investors, for oil or building companies.
Let the revolution go !
That war is not the people's will. It's the ultimate tool for profit !
oh please by axion speaks louder then words Monday, Mar. 31, 2003 at 2:54 PM |
stephane and bernd,
yes, our representatives do get paid to REPRESENT us.
If a normal worker would get an assignment from his boss, he has to do so or he will get kicked out. We are our representatives bosses (we pay their salary don't we...), and they have to do what we tell them to. If they won't listen, they'll get kicked out just as well.
besides, the word REPRESENTative really sais it all: the first 9 letters symbolise what they have to do: REPRESENT OUR WILL.
politics has us caught in the wrong way to think: WE decide what they can and can't do. That's what it's all about: normally we could defend our will ourselves in the parliament. afterwards this changed (for quicker and easier desicionmaking), but we had the chance to express ourselves THROUGH PEOPLE THAT WE COULD APPOINT.
Nowadays, this proces has totally reversed: our leaders forgot what democracy is all about. They only represent their own thoughts, and we have to be quiet and swallow it all. Once every 4 years we can "elect" (=choose between Bad, Worse and Worst) new leaders who we trust enough to make a lot of important decisions in our name for the next years.
We've protested in huge masses, we've tried every way of peacefull protesting so far. Nothing seems to help. Our nation still is on the 'coalition of the willing'-list, our leaders still allow military and other transits to war-areas, all embassady-personel of the agressor(=USA) still can stay in our country, ... need i go on?
What will help to stop these things from taking place?
every second that we can delay those boats, that planes, ... is one second they can't kill people all over the world.
It's sad but true: if we want all of these things, we have to personally stop them from occuring.
If those planes do take off in Ostend, we have to personally make sure that they won't, either by blocking the landing- and take-off area, either by destroying the windows of those planes, either by chaining ourselves to them. If those boats and trains do leaved the Antwerp Harbor, same same, either by chaining ourselves between boat and land, either swimming in front of the boats, ...
If the ambassady won't close, we have to do so: EITHER WAY!
Our 'leaders' had their chance to listen to us. They spitted right back in our face. Now let's all spitt back.
If there are rules against those things, they have to break them. America's whole war is illegal and our prime minister is still whining about some secret agreement our ancestors made (by the way allso NOT in a democratic way).
Clearly our leaders have lack of courage or a lack of will. if they won't do so, WE WILL (at least i will). i want to be able to look my grandchilderen right in the eye: "ICH HABE ES WOLL GEWUSST und ich hab es bekampt auch."
imagine america is bombing belgium, would you prefer that all other countries would demonstrate against the war here or would you prefer that they stopped that war?
Besides,
if a law or gouvernment is inhuman, we have the DUTY to disrepect them.

Good name and good title.
After reading all that crap, it comes out that you suggests to stop a war by another one. It's all yours.
You feel that Belgium is too sterile in his protests against this war. I feel that the Belgium's governments attitude is far less sterile than the majority.
You pretend that our representives have to execute the orders of the street. The street executes his own orders, don't mix it up.
You suggests that the Belgian government has not to comply with former agreements. I acknowledge that they honor their signature and fellowship.
You feel frustrated that the worldwide protests are not stopping the war. I feel with you.
If you think it should be played the hard way, feel free to do so where it has to be done, but keep our streets quiet.
