The Belgian govt has just passed a law that will enforce a 6 AM closing hour for Dancings, abusing public environment, health, and safety, as an excuse to take yet more away from its people's few remaining liberties.

Eco-Fascism & Health-Nazism

Health and environment are beautiful things, but not when they are used as an excuse to take away people's personal freedoms. How progressive are the so called left wing parties these days ? In the low countries (Belgium and the Netherlands), personal freedoms have not been hurt so much since so called progressive governements are in power. From the traditional right wing parties, one would expect such reactionary ideas of having the masses walk in line with what the state thinks is right for them, but maybe the left wing parties have themselves become reactionary...

The latest in the long line of horrors is the closing hour for belgium dancings, all dancings in Belgium now must close at 6 am, thanks to the current coalition of VLD/PRL, SP/PS & Ecolo/Agalev. Similar closing hours exist for tobacco stores, all with health and environment as excuse.
The Netherlands has in recent years under the VVD/PVDA/D66 governement, come down hard on age laws for bars, dancings alcohol and tobacco sales. And these parties dare call themselves socialist, liberal and progressive! Intollerant, reactionary, communist and fascist are the terms i would use to describe these actions from these governements.

The excuses they use are different, the results are however the same, less freedom for the individual, more laws and more that is forbidden, more state control over the life of its citizens.

Taxation on behaviour = anti-social.

We don't want you to do certain things, we can't forbid it, else we would show how fascist we are, so we'll just make you pay more for it. Special taxes on cigarettes are the most obvious example, but also special taxes on gas, to save the environment, pretending they don't know that the public transportation companies simply raise their fee's when they see they can, because driving a car costs more now, raising transport prices for everyone and everything.

What these taxes do is widen the gap between rich and poor, because they are not based on income, but on the behaviour of the individual. So the rich can smoke themselves to death and race over our highways, as long as they pay, the poor however can't afford it, and have to give up their few remaining liberties, like smoking or driving.

conclusion: In civil liberty issues there are no differences anymore between the so called progressive parties and the conservative parties, while the right wing hide their measures of reactionary oppression behind security and safety issues, the left wing uses health and environment for the exact same purposes...

Time to let your voice be heard and stand up for your individual freedoms. Email the adresses of your political parties and tell them you are fed up with them taking your freedom away!

It's dangerous to feed the ducks because you're disturbing their eco-system with it. Normally they search food themself. When they are fed they feel bored because they have nothing left to do. The male ducks want to mate with the female, but they are not monogamous. So it happens that 3 males are jumping on 1 female, and then the female duck drowns because of the weight. So protect the female ducks. Stop feeding the ducks in the park !!!

1) Male ducks will jump 3 on 1 female anyway, wether i feed them or not, and if i feed them, maybe the female will be strong enough to survive such a thing, and i'm not stupid enough to throw the food in the water.

2) City ducks aren't wild ducks, you will recognize a wild duck because he will fly away when you come within 500 meters. These are domesticated city ducks, they know they get food from humans from when they are born, they are known to mostly return to the same place, and when they fly south it's likely they have a place there close to humans, where they are fed too. People feeding them IS their eco-system...

you're not saving the wild duck, you're killing the city duck!
