The protest in Brussels has just started. There's a lot of people. "Stop USA" and "Geen Oorlog" are stepping in front of the protest. There are a lot of Iraqi Flags. The intention is to go to the US Embassy via the " kleine ring - petit ring ".

The protest has just arrived at the US Embassy. The crowd is very angry. There are 2 rows of "barricades with razor wire on it" with cops in between. The intention was to pass by the Embassy but more than hundred people stayed there. The people who are organising this are allready walking further to the end of the manifestation. There would be ten thousands of people. The atmosphere is great. There are a lot of Palestinian, Iraqi and Che Guevara-flags. People are chanting slogans supporting the Palestinian and Iraqi people.

Couldn't join the protest, therefore standing behind the fence just after the US embassy. Saw 2 young men being carried away into an ambulance, burned in the face and hands. Heard a policemen say that apparently a flag was set to fire using some inflammable product. The wind or something must have made the flag/flames sweep up. Have left after that.

TODAY WAS A GOOD SHOW OF OPPOSITION. BUT ALAS IT CAN AND WILL ONLY GET BIGGER AND LOUDER. BE THERE AGAIN AND AGAIN. SHOW THESE WARMONGERS WE DON'T AGREE. AND THAT THERE WATER CANNONS WON'T SCARE US AWAY. BRING YOUR FRIENDS AND GRANDMA AND NEIHBOURS. PEACE. GRANT KITTO
