Egunkaria :Detainees Lied About Torture According to Spanish Home Minister

No matter what organisms like Amnesty International say about the use of torture in Spain specially against Basque citizens (no necessarily terrorists or members of any band). No matter that Amnesty International has showed concern about the latest repressive operation against Basque paper Egunkaria. The Spanish government -faithful continuist in its different versions of the Francoist regime's methods- supports the use of terrorism by the constant denial of it. The headlines of the Spanish papers informing of the Spanish government's willingness of legal action on the torture cases, could be quite misleading (again!): the legal action will be against the DEATAINEES for making up such a thing.
In Spain torture doesn't take place - according to the government. Home Minister Ángel Acebes announced, as a reply to PNV's report in the parliament of the torture suffered by Egunkaria's editorial team members, to take legal action against those whom accused the police! of torturing them. He didn't take the matter -presented by another MP- in consideration, but had the chick to threatened the already tortured ones with legal action! He continued, as for him the people who reported tortured -remember they were released as innocent AND that according their constitution they're Spanish citizens with the same rights than any one else!- "deserve the highest political and personal contempt"! without even taken the case in consideration! Even more: he went on to say that the released detainees applied ETA's manual by reporting "false and criminal tortures" on their release. What is the effect these people want to produce in the Basque Country? OUTRAGE!
JUDGE DEL OLMO SENDS ZUBIRIA TO PRISON
Meanwhile, Argia's magazine editor Pello Zubiria was interrogated last night (Wednesday 26th Feb) in the hospital where he was taken to -still we can't work out if he was taken there because he tried to kill himself or if there was any other reason (which, in that case hasn't been informed aboutÝ) for hospitalising him. Judge Del Olmo decided to penalise Zubiria with unconditional imprisonment and he'll have to be taken to prison wherever he recovers. Meanwhile his wife hasn't been allowed to see him since he was taken to hospital.
