All very nice these peer-to-peer programs, but only get the good ones. Kazaa (Limewire too I think) are pure spy- and adware. These programs put other programs on your computer which send info about you to the companies. Illegal? Privacy? Forget it, you agreed with it when accepting the users agreement (who reads them anyway?). So the best thing to do is to avoid these programs and get the spy- and adware-free programs like WinMX (http://www.winmx.com) or Soulseek (http://www.slsk.org). WinMX features everything kazaa does (video, mp3, wav, zip, rar, .... any file-type), but you know what you're getting.
(also: when surfing the net, and a screen pops up asking you if you trust the Gator company, just don't, they're a spy/adware company).

or Kazaalite

Soulseek is down, WinMX is working only with windoze and i hate both the pop-ups and to pay without to know wath i'm buying, so kazaalite.......
Maybe WinMX with linux and wine?

I was tinking about one thing. It would be simple to do a ftp server at home, and just have an account on a web site with just a little description of the files on the server. When you are on-line, you just log-on on your account, and the site put a link to your personnal server that everybody can follow.

It's just an idea but i think at the major will have a lot of job to do, if they want to assign in court everyone that have a such personnal server. Can a lawyer confirm or not, if it's legaly a good idea?
