Statement Ramadam, Iraqi vice-president.
In a statement, Mr. Ramadan said that the Arab peoples' attitude is good and they stand together with Iraq against the U.S threats. He stressed the necessity of activating latest decision of the Arab League that aimed to expand support for Iraq and Arab nation against the U.S and Zionist threats and schemes.
He made it clear that during this visit he discussed ways of boosting cooperation and adopting plans to develop bilateral ties between Iraq and Jordan.
During his visit, Mr. Ramadhan conveyed a verbal letter from President Saddam Hussein to King Abdulla II of Jordan pertaining to situations surrounding the Arab region, especially U.S hostile threats against Iraq.
During his meeting with King Abdullah in Amman, Mr. Ramadhan stressed the significance of unified Arab stance in rejecting aggression.
He affirmed that dialogue with the UN is the sole way to reach a comprehensive settlement and end Iraqis' suffering resulted from the unjust embargo.
For his part, King Abdullah affirmed that Jordan rejects aggression on Iraq, and calls for lifting embargo.
Mr. Ramadhan received in Amman former Jordanian Prime Minister Mudar Badran.
The meeting was dealt with all events and developments that Arab and international arenas are witnessing, foremost: US and British threats against Iraq.
Mr. Ramadhan affirmed Iraqi leadership and people's readiness to face any Zionist-American aggression, referring to the positive Arab and international stances supporting Iraq's right to defend its territories and sovereignty, and rejecting US hostile intentions.
