Take Yasser arafat to the int'l court by Dotan Friday August 16, 2002 at 12:53 PM |
To: United Nations Human Rights Commission Mrs. Mary Robinson, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights
An historian said "evil prevails when good people keep silent"
WHEREAS, the Genocide Convention, a binding multilateral treaty that codified post-Nuremberg norms and entered into force in 1951, the sorts of acts currently advocated by Yasser Arafat and company qualify precisely as genocide.
WHERAS, the Fatah organization in public announcements, broadcasts and evidenced on its website calls openly for the "eradication" of Israel.
WHERAS, this call echoes earlier genocidal codifications in the still unchanged Palestinian National Charter, in Fatah's ongoing calls for Inqirad mujtama (the extinction of Israeli society), and in the Charter of Hamas ("There is no solution to the Palestinian problem except by Jihad.... I swear by that who holds in His Hands the Soul of Muhammad! I indeed wish to go to war for the sake of Allah! I will assault and kill, assault and kill, assault and kill.")
WHERAS, Under international law, PLO/Hamas calls for the killing of Jews - whether indirectly in Jihad or directly through mass murder - constitute calls for genocide.
AND WHEREAS; The International Genocide Convention criminalizes not only the various acts of genocide, but also in (Article III) conspiracy to commit genocide and direct and public incitement to commit genocide. Articles II, III and IV of the Genocide Convention are fully applicable in all cases of direct and public incitement to commit genocide.
AND WHEREAS; For the Convention to be invoked, it is sufficient that any one of the State parties call for a meeting, through the United Nations, of all the State parties (Article VIII).
WE, the undersigned, as members of civilized humanity, call urgently on Mrs. Mary Robinson to set up a committee to investigate the involvement of Yasser Arafat in crimes of genocide, crimes of conspiracy to commit genocide and war crimes against humanity according to the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the General Assembly resolutions 260, 2391, 3074 and Security Council resolution 1296 of United Nations, on behalf of the victims of acts of terror, murder, injury, kidnapping by the Palestinian Liberation Organization, Palestinian Authority, Hamas and other such organizations influenced either directly or indirectly by Yasser Arafat.
UN's resolutions have made it clear that the perpetrators of genocide, crimes against humanity and War Crimes should be prosecuted and duly punished.
Offences commited at the direction of Yasser Arafat span from events such as the "Munich Massacre" to the latest atrocity against humanit, the "Tel-Aviv Bombing" The offences are too numureous to detail in full in this petition. Highlites of the most recent offences by Yasser Arafat are offered as follows.
Torture of persons under the rule of Yassir Arafat.
At least 16 Palestinian Arab dissidents have been tortured to death by
the PA police, according to Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch.
Suppression of Political Dissent by use of force. Critics of the regime are silenced-- Prof. Fathi Subil suggested to his university students in Gaza that they write papers about corruption in the PA regime; the next day, PA policemen broke his legs.
Ethnic Cleansing through acts of terror, arrest and intimidation.
Arafat demands that every Jew be evicted from Judea, Samaria, Gaza, and large sections of Jerusalem. He refuses to accept the idea of Jews
living in the same neighborhood --even the same city-- as Arabs. Arabs are forbidden by PA law from selling property to Israeli Jews. The law implemented by the PA under the direction of Yasser Arafat provides for the death penalty to the seller and those involved in the transaction.
Jews have been taken off the streets in Arab controlled areas and placed in interrogation at gunpoint for no other reason then they are Jews. Daily gunfire attacks have been instigated and waged against Jews living in proximity to Arabs in an attempt to "ethnically cleanse the area of Jews" The result of the policy of "ethnic cleansing" in the Arab areas is that no longer are Jews able to live in towns that have been there traditional homes for century's.
Religious freedom attacked with the Burning and Destruction of Holy Sites.
Jewish holy sites have been destroyed by Yasser Arafat controlled PA; mobs aided by PA policemen burned down the Tomb of Joseph last October, 2000 and then rebuilt it as a mosque; a few days later, they burned down the ancient Shalom al-Yisrael synagogue in Jericho, and prevented Israeli fire trucks from reaching the scene.
Organized Pogrom against Jews.
May 19, 2001 a group of Islamic leaders confirmed that Yasser Arafat has engaged in a systematic "Pogrom" against Jews. The Declaration of the Majlis al-Ulema (Council of Scholars) of the Italian Muslim Association condemns The Egyptian from Alexandria (alias "Yasser Arafat", previous alias "Abdul Rauf el-Codbi el-Husseini"), and his associated thugs and murderers, for the Philistine Authority Pogrom that they have unleashed on both the Children of Israel and the Children of Ishmael living in the Land of Israel.
Qadi Abu Ibrahim Ali al-Siddiqi serves as President of the Italian Muslim Association Majlis al-Ulema (Council of Scholars). Sheikh Imam Prof. Abdul Hadi Palazzi, also a member of the Italian Muslim Association Majlis al-Ulema (Council of Scholars), serves as Italian Muslim Association Secretary General;
The Internationally recognized terrorist organization; Hamas confirms it is united together with Yasser Arafat and his PA.
HAMAS's Sheikh Mahmoud Zahar on the relationship between the PLO and the HAMAS: "Like the wings of a bird, they work together." Jibril Rajub, the Chief of Internal Security for Yasser Arafat in mid September 1994 stated, "I stress that there are "blood ties and single fate" between the PLO and the HAMAS".
Regarding ties with PLO, the Hamas Charter says the following: "The PLO is among the closest to the Hamas, for it constitutes a father, a brother, a relative a friend." On the primacy of hatred toward Judaism, not Israel, the Charter states: "Israel, by virtue of its being Jewish, and of having a Jewish population, defies Islam and the Muslims." War and genocide need not be mutually exclusive. The Palestinian preparations for a Final Battle with "The Jews" are not only for an indispensable and unavoidable war, but also - ultimately - for the extermination of an entire People.
U.S. ambassador to Israel Martin Indyk stated on July 4, 2001 that Yasir Arafat "never really gave up violence." He went on to say as quoted in the Jerusalem Post, Oslo accords were "a noble endeavor," but eight years later, "you have to say that the exercise failed." Indyk said Arafat "was not sincere" when he claimed to give up violence at the signing of the accords in 1993, and he "never really gave up violence as a tool to achieving his objectives." Indyk told the Jerusalem Post (July 4, 2001)
Now the time has come, all evidences and documents are gathered and ready to set up an investigation committee in order to bring Yasser Arafat and those responsible with him to justice before a duly recognized court of international law.
May justice prevail and may the world be free of the tyranny of terror.

ARAFAT SHOULD BE ON A TRIAL FOR MURDER
PALESTINIEN PEOPLE NEED A NEW LEADERSHIP TO BRING PEACE
Crimes de guerre israéliens by R.B. Friday August 16, 2002 at 02:35 PM |
Et les autres? by Mme C Friday August 16, 2002 at 02:42 PM |
Et Bush, Sharon, ... ?
Tribunal International de quoi? by redkitten Friday August 16, 2002 at 03:27 PM |

PTB et CPI by . Friday August 16, 2002 at 04:41 PM |

Hum?
/3/ Brillante contribution anonyme et pleine de contenu ...

"les dictats des grandes puissances"... by . Friday August 16, 2002 at 05:43 PM |

arafat is a terrorist by Justice Friday August 16, 2002 at 09:14 PM |
STRONGLY agree with this petition and i refuse to acknowledge the peace prize that yasser arafat was awarded in 1992. This prize, awarded to a terrorist who places no value on jewish life is an abomination. More so, it is horribly sad that the un CHOOSES to ignore the fact that arafat, his government, his so-called policemen and many among his people are all terrorist and murderers. How ironic, however, that the UN chooses to investigate the very people who are being terrorized and victimized for being jewish. It is equally ''funny'" that the UN's chooses to ignore the atrocities that the palestinians teach their children in schools. If a jewish school would teach any of the atrocities that these textbooks teach (such as ''allah orders you to kill Jews through suicide bombings), the UN would not only close down these institutions but accuse the israeli government of perpetrating murder. Why does the UN choose to purposely ignore the Palestinians horrible human rights violations? WHY?
