In de song beschrijft hij de Britse premier Blair als het schoothondje van de Amerikaanse president Bush. "Ik ben me er volledig van bewust dat mensen er niet echt van houden dat hun popmuziek en politiek dezer dagen worden vermengd. Niettemin, ik heb een duidelijke mening over de huidige situatie in Groot-Brittannie en ik heb het gevoel dat in een tijd dat het publieke debat wordt onderdrukt zelfs zoiets triviaals als een popsong iets goeds kan zijn", liet de zanger in een verklaring weten.
De videoclip van het lied toont Bush op het grasveld van het Witte Huis, terwijl hij een glimlachend hondje met het gezicht van Blair aait. Ook dansen beide leiders de tango, waarbij Blair zich heeft gehuld in een loshangende jurk.
Michael schreef het lied voor de aanslagen van 11 september in New York en Washington. Het bleef echter liggen tot maandag.

De Britse omroep BBC is overigens op de vingers getikt omdat het muziekprogramma 'Top of the Pops' een vrijpostige videoclip van George Michael heeft uitgezonden. Volgens de Broadcasting Standards Commission had de BBC de clip niet voor negen uur 's avonds uit mogen zenden. De clip van Michaels nieuwe single 'Freeek' bevat erotische beelden en bondagescenes. De makers van 'Top of the Pops' hadden de video wel gecensureerd, aldus de BBC, maar dat had volgens de commissie rigoureuzer gemoeten. Er kwamen 68 klachten over de uitzending binnen bij de keuringsinstantie.
