A Palestinian official statement:

"The Israeli aggression will not submit us"

Ramallah June 20th 2002 Wafa; A Palestinian Leadership Official Spokesman stated:

"The Israeli occupation forces escalating their aggression against the Palestinians, by shelling their houses, ransacking them, arresting the civilians, while the USA made gunship helicopters are backing their criminal conduct, and destroying the Palestinian houses and causing tens of human casualties".

Hebron Ramallah and Al Bireh:

The Israeli occupation forces imposed tight siege closing all the entrances of the cities including the dirt and side roads, preventing the mobility of the civilian citizens, while they shelled various sections of the City of Hebron causing damages to the private houses.

The Israeli occupation forces invaded the villages surrounding Hebron, brutally ransacked the civilian houses vandalizing the private property and arresting many of the citizens.

While in Ramallah they have increased the numbers of the soldiers filling the streets with their armored vehicles rolling on the streets, destroying them, shooting everywhere and terrorizing the defenseless citizens while barb wiring all the entrances and the side and dirt roads, confining the citizens inside the Ghettos in Ramallah, Al Bireh and the surrounding villages.

Jenin and Qalqilya:

The Israeli occupation forces using the USA made Apache gunship helicopters targeting the civilian houses destroyed many of them in various places in the city and the adjacent refugee camp.

Wafa correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation forces have completely taken over the city of Jenin and its Refuge Camp while very brutally ransacking their houses destroying everything and arresting the youth, and imposing a state of terror on all the Occupied Lands.

And since the early hours of yesterday the Israeli occupation forces reoccupied the city of Qalqilya, shelling the residential areas and arresting the civilians, furthermore they have arrested sick and wounded patients from the Arrazi Hospital alongside with several medical staff.

Nablus and Ramallah:

Using many tanks, armored vehicles and other military equipments, the Israeli occupation forces invaded the city of Nablus taking over several private houses turning them into military posts, after kicking the residents out including the infants and the women.

They also ransacked the house of the PLO Executive Committee member, arresting several citizens.

On the other hand they are continuing the imposed curfew on the cities of Ramallah and Al Bireh, closing all leading roads including the unpaved dirt roads and the mountain paths preventing the civilians from moving between the various places amongst the Occupied District.

The Israeli escalating dangerous aggression and brutal attacks against our people will never bend down the Palestinians or force them to surrender to the Israeli dictations and will never divert the Palestinians protecting their Holy Places inside the Palestinian Lands.
