Yesterday, in a letter to the United Nations (UN) Security Council, Secretary-General Kofi Annan, said that he intended to disband the Jenin probe. After delaying the investigation four times since April 18th, I am glad to see this thing finally put to rest. Regretfully, Secretary Annan failed to adjust the mission to accommodate Israel's concerns. The team, which included a former Finnish president, a former U.N. high commissioner for refugees and a former head of the International Committee of the Red Cross, were humanitarian workers, unqualified to assess a military operation.
