Funny, isn't it? Untill last week everybody(the press) was talking about Cheneys mission to the Arabian countries.
When he did came back he siad that all the Arabian leaders support a military intervention in Iraq.
After the Arabian top it was clear that Cheney lied, they don't want any attack on Iraq. And then sharon went crazy and the only foreign news came from Israel.
And yesterday we could read that Saddam gives 25000 dollar to families of suicidebombers(reuters and the guardian). Yesterday we could read in Le Monde in a very little article that Saddam supports the suicide-attacks.
And this weekend Blair and Bush will have a meeting.
What will be the results?

Obviously America will conquer Iraq.The pretext is that perhaps Iraq is building weapons of mass distruction and is may be thinking to use these weapons.This is reminiscent of Phoedrus "lupus et agnus".The real reason for the conquest is that America is now an empire in the Roman sense and that cannot tolerate the smallest opposition.To break any opposition is now very easy for America due to the enormous disparity in military power ;indeed nothing has never existed in the world like this disparity of power.I think the european should think about that and how useless and vasteful are,in the present situation, all the european military expenses.
