op woensdag 20 feb., om 7u. 's morgens vielen Carabinieri (paramilitaire politie) binnen in autonome centra die bekend stonden als indymedia-kantoren in Firenze, Turijn, Bologna en Taranto. Drie landrovers, een combi, en enkele auto's gevuld met manschappen deden de huiszoekingen in wat duidelijk een gecoordineerde nationale politie-actie was. Er werd gezocht naar audio- en videomateriaal van indymedia;
Na onduidelijk en onvolledig onderzoek naar bewijzen voor politiegeweld in Genoa begint het overheidsbeleid zich nu duidelijker uit te lijnen en wederom over te gaan naar repressie.
De huiszoekingen waren allemaal afgelopen om 10u30, behalve deze in Taranto waar het wat langer duurde. In het imc-kantoor in Bologna, waar er nog volop gewerkt werd aan een video over Genoa, werden alle computers meegenomen, en werd er ook veel videomateriaal in beslag genomen. In Firenze, Turijn en Taranto werden officiele video's meegenomen.

They were looking for audio and video material from Indypendent Media Center (Indymedia).

All the searches were finished by 10h30 am, except for taranto, where it took a bit longer.
In bologna, where they were still working on a Genoa-video, all computers were taken, and also a lot of videofootage. In Firenze, Torino and Taranto, official video's were taken.
