Some friends of mine and I went to the anarchist demo when they were around Gare du Midi. While waiting to cross the street we found ourselves in the middle of about 30 black blocers. Or so we thought... Every single one of them had a communication thing in their ears and saps in their back pockets.

We joined the march, and a couple of minuted later these undercover cops joined as well. About ten minuted later the riot police started their business.

I did take some pictures, but I have not developed them yet, I will post them as soon as possible.

which is the flic?

Which type of clothing is that used by the police?
The black and white mottled "Palestinian" scarf?

blac block, but not quite
by AMK Tuesday December 18, 2001 at 12:51 PM

The ones I saw, certainly looked like black bloc, but there was something strange. I guess it's their disguise when they go to a lot of event where 'trouble' can start; e.g. demos like this, football hooligans etc.

It was a lot of hoodies, Palestinian scarf, big black padded jackets, 'commando hats'.

What gives them away is their posture and their attentiveness. Always looking around, stright back etc.

the undercover police who arrested us on the sat all wore red arm bands. they werent dressed like black bloc but with jean jackets, , jumpers etc. looked like normal civilians. they waited on one of the side streets out of the square.

i am a pacifist by nature but i am sick to the back teeth of these infiltrators who take the first oppurtunity to aggravate a situation giving licence to riot cops to steam in hard on peaceful protestors it is time we fought their fire with our own
the next time they are detected and they are armed give them a fucking good hiding that may deter future infiltrations make it quick though before their buddies get time to respond then disperse swiftly back into the crowd preferably with a change of clothing to avoid recriminations later don't these fascist bastards realise that our guys are the good guys and their leaders are the real criminals

death to the fascist regime

Person on the left

Person on the left in the last two pictures is the person i saw throw a rock through the window of an interim agency at the beginning of the StopUSA demo on 10/11/02, he looked very Moroccan at the time, but i still recognise him very well.
