The street pqrty, one of the final events of the weekend of resistance in Bruussels, is now underwy in the city centre.
Thousands of revellers, joined by participants in the anarchist demonstration, are walking along the streets with a sound system and marching band. The party is due to end with a concert at 20:30 this evening.
The convergence between the street party and the anarchist demonstration took place after a confrontation between the Black Bloc and the police, who tried to prevent the two actions from joining together. The scufflings included the throwing of stones and molotov cocktails. 5 people have been arrested. Anarchists chased off several street-clothed police officers who were near the demonstration with cameras and radios.
