NGOs and D14 organisations join the trade union
by Kenneth Rumes (translation by IMC: Peter Bart Thursday December 13, 2001 at 09:27 PM

The trade unions probably didn't get it and did not want to join D14 during the Laken summit, the NGO's and organisations joined in the trade union demonstration.

Today, all D14 organisations joined the protest of the trade union. This protest, on the first of all three big protest days, attracted 80.000 protesters from trade unions all over the European Union. Besides that, more than ten thousand people from NGOs and different organisations joined them.
Becouse the trade unions don't protest during the summit itself and not on the 14th of December, they didn't want to join D14. Luckely, D14 isn't that bad and joined the trade unions today in their protest, thus helping to create this great succes.
Hopefully the trade union people now like the taste of anti-globalism and perhaps join the protests tomorrow and saturday.
