Le Comité pour la Libération des Prisonniers Politiques Mapuche, créé en mai 2001 à Temuko, région de la Araucanie (Chili), vous salue cordialement et s'adresse à votre institution ou organisation pour faire connaître notre travail et le fonctionnement du groupe formé par le comité.

Le Comité s'est créé dans la nécessité urgente de former dans la zone urbaine un Comité pour la libération des prisonniers politiques Mapuche, puisque ces derniers sont, en général, originaires de communautés, ce qui les empêche d'avoir un contact permanent avec leur famille.

Ce groupe est formé par des étudiants Mapuche, non-Mapuche, groupes de quartiers, collectifs et autres, ayant pour principe l'autonomie et l'existence d'une sensibilité à la problématique Mapuche de la part de ses intégrants.

Le Comité envisage 3 objectifs à travailler:

1.- Diffusion de la problématique touchant aux communautés qui ont opté pour la mobilisation et la récupération de leurs territoires.

2.- Dénoncer les violations des droits de l'homme de nos frères et sœurs qui, en raison du conflit Mapuche, sont prisonniers et en procès dans les différentes prisons du pays.

3.- être un lien entre les prisonniers politiques Mapuche et leur famille, en les soutenant dans les thèmes en relation avec leur situation.

Le Comité, tout en faisant connaître ses objectifs, vous invite à entretenir une correspondance permanente pour échanger et discuter des idées afin d'aborder cet important thème de façon conjointe, créant des réseaux de soutien dans le but de contribuer à la juste cause de la lutte de notre peuple.

EL COMITÉ POR LA LIBERACIÓN DE LOS PRESOS POLÍTICOS MAPUCHE creado en Mayo del 2001 en la Ciudad de Temuco IX Región de la Araucanía-Chile. Le saluda muy cordialmente y se dirige a su institución u organización para dar a conocer nuestro trabajo y el funcionamiento del grupo que conforma el comité.

Este se crea por la urgente necesidad de formar en la zona urbana un Comité por la liberación de los presos políticos Mapuche, ya que en su mayoría son de comunidad, lo que le impide tener contacto permanente con sus respectivas familias.

Este grupo está conformado por estudiantes Mapuche, no Mapuche, grupos poblacionales colectivos, y otros, teniendo como principio la autonomía y que por lo demás existe una sensibilidad entre ellos con la problemática Mapuche.

El comité se plantea tres objetivos a trabajar:

1.- Difusión de la problemática por la que está atravesando cada una de las comunidades que han optado por la movilización y recuperación de sus territorios.

2.- Denunciar los atropellos de los derechos humanos de nuestros hermanos detenidos y procesados en las distintas cárceles del país a raíz del conflicto Mapuche.

3.- Ser un nexo entre los presos políticos Mapuche y sus respectivas familias, apoyándolos

en los temas que tengan relación a su situación.

El Comité, junto con dar a conocer sus objetivos, lo invita a tener una comunicación permanente para intercambiar y discutir ideas de como abordar este importante tema en forma conjunta, creando redes de apoyo con el fin de aportar a la causa justa de la lucha de nuestro Pueblo.

The Committee for the Liberation of the Mapuche Political Prisoners, founded May, 2001 in Temuco, Chile, would like to greet you and your organization and tell you about our activities and about how our committee group works.

This Committee was created because of the urgent need for an urban committee that could work for the liberation of the Mapuche political prisoners, who come mostly from rural communities, for which reason they are not able to keep in touch with their families on a regular basis.

This group is formed by Mapuche and non-Mapuche students, neighborhood organizations, grass roots organizations and others. Our basic common principle is autonomy, besides the fact of sharing a special sensitivity towards the Mapuche struggle.

The Committee has set itself three goals:
1. Diffusion of the problems faced by each one of the communities that has chosen the path of mobilization and is actively recovering its territories.
2. Denouncing the human rights violations against our brothers who are being imprisoned and processed in different jails across the country.
3. To serve as a contact between the Mapuche political prisoners and their families, supporting them in matters concerning their situation.

Along with informing you about our objectives, we would like to invite you to be in touch permanently, in order to exchange ideas about how to face this situation, all together, creating support networks as a way of helping in the just cause of our peoples struggle.

Freedom for all Mapuche political prisoners

Das Komitee zur Befreiung der Politischen Gefangenen Mapuche wurde im Mai 2001 in der Stadt Temuco, die in der IX. Region der Araucania in Chile liegt, gegründet. Das Komitee grüßt Sie herzlichst und wendet sich an Ihre Organisation oder Institution , um seine Arbeit und die Funktionsweise der Gruppe, die das Komitee bildet, bekannt zu machen.

Es wurde aus der dringen Notwendigkeit , im städtischen Bereich ein Komitee zur Befreiung der Politischen Gefangenen Mapuche zu bilden, gegründet. Die Politischen Gefangenen Mapuche kommen zum Großteil aus ländlichen Gemeinden, den comunidades, was einen permanenten Kontakt mit ihren Familienangehörigen sehr erschwert.

Dieses Komitee besteht aus StudentInnen (Mapuche und Nicht-Mapuche) sowie anderen Kollektiven und Gruppen, die das Prinzip der Autonomie verfolgen und die zudem für die Mapuche-Problematik sensibilisiert sind.

Das Komitee setzt sich drei Arbeitsbereiche:

Öffentliche Verbreitung der Problematik, von der jede der comunidades, die für Mobilisierungen und Rückgewinnung ihre Territorien betroffen ist.
Anklage der Übergriffe gegen die Menschenrechte die an unsern verhafteten und z.T. verurteilten Brüdern in verschiedenen Gefängnissen wegen des Mapuche-Konfliktes begangen wurden.
Ein Verbindungsglied zwischen den Politischen Gefangenen Mapuche und ihren Familien sein, damit sie konkrete Hilfe in ihre Situation erhalten
Mit dieser Bekanntmachung seiner Ziele möchte das Komitee Sie einladen in eine ständige Verbindung einzutreten, um Idee auszutauschen und zu diskutieren. Damit soll dieses wichtige Thema zusammen bearbeitet und Unterstützungsnetze geschaffen werden, um den gerechten Kampf der Mapuche zu unterstützen.
