Thank you for publishing the story and Photos of the bush Protest. As an American living in a "occupied country" since Jan 20,2001 it is encouraging to see that people around the world see the imposter living in our White House for what he is.
I would like to thank the Belgian people for expressing their dissent,(something that is becomming harder to do in our own country). I would also like to assure Belgium and the rest of the world that bush is not the choice of the majority of the American people and there many of us working day and night to correct this. We are also strongly opposed to the damage he is attempting to do to the entire world.
Keep up the Good Work.

Bush Protests in Europe by Judy Friday June 15, 2001 at 01:13 AM |

I would like to thank all of the European nations that are taking part in the protests of Dubya. I will not refer to him as President as he did not win. Make no mistake, the majority of Americans voted for Al Gore; and we are furious that our democracy has been stolen. The men and women who control the press in our country are in Bush's back pocket and control what we see, hear and read. A moron has more common sense than the man who plays at being our president. The majority of Americans disagree with everything he is trying to do. We just need a little help in tilting the scales of justice in the right direction. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP. I makes me want to cry when I realize that so many men died in two world wars to protect the very freedoms that Bush mocks now. The Republican Right Wing is dangerous not only to us but to the world as well.

Thank you brave world citizens. It is six months now since we have had the usurper installed against our will. God bless you for public resistance to this menace. He is a threat not only to what is left of our country here in the USA but also, as you all have correctly pointed out, the life and progress of every citizen on this planet. We are working night and day and aspire to someday have elections in which the winner actually takes office.
Our hats are off to you.
Good job.

Thank you, protesters, for showing us Americans there's still fire left in the human spirit in the world. Now if only some protesting Prometheus would bring a little of that fire here...

Hi everyone!
I am the unidentified American woman in the audio interview from the Brussels protest. I want to thank you all at indymedia for allowing me to express to the World, the majority of the American people's attitude toward Bush. It is nice to finally see a media dedicated to reality, rather than PR and profit! If I can do anything, let me know!!!
Thanks Again,
Sandra Heidmeyer

No problem guys, my pleasure.
I think the protest went really well, very disciplined, bery peacefull.
Although deployed in force, the police kept pretty low profile, what might explain that it went alot more smoothly than in Sweden
Not My President by Vicki Baker Friday June 15, 2001 at 10:51 PM |

Thanks to all those in Europe who protested bush's visit. My family did NOT vote for bush and he is not our president. I never capitalize the name bush because he's just a small person and an embarrassment to our country and the whole world.
Restore Democracy by Les Souci Friday June 22, 2001 at 11:38 PM |
Altho I am an American, we are all citizens of the world. The 180 million US dollars on the table in the Bush Campaign, was minor, compared to the huge amounts invested "under the table" by Chemical, Oil, Defense, Prescription Drug Companies, and others, here.
I am very grateful for the Solidarity coming from Europe with we disenfranchised Americans, who are suffering under a "Coup D'Etat" The campaign of Bush continues, as Corporate interests promote Bush legitimacy here, attempting to make Americans(the majority) feel isolated if they do not accept this sham of an administration. We, citizens of the world MUST stay together, in opposition to Bush.
Peace with Justice,
Les Souci

AMERICA HELD HOSTAGE - DAY 158 by Bronwyn Ingram Friday June 29, 2001 at 01:55 AM |
devoteddem@hotmail.com Santa Monica, California |
We're being held hostage in America by a warmongering cretin who strongarmed his way into the Whitehouse with the help of his daddie's friends in a judicial coup d'etat!!! We did NOT elect this idiot. We are suffering. The world is suffering. We are mad as hell but the American media will not report it. Europe - I love you. Please send over some REAL journalists to report what has REALLY happened. By the way, I think we will soon be changing our name to the Corporate States of America.

Though you'd never know it reading the mainstream press, there is a sizable and growing number of people who know what the "Supreme" court did, and we were not going to stop educating those who either refuse to see it or are content to look the other way... To all the people in Europe, please be patient... We will remove this imposter soon enough, either by trouncing him so soundly that even Rhenqusit can't help, or by convincing him he better not run he'll be in for the biggest "ass whoop'un" (As George might say) in the history of presidential elections.
