States of unrest ( Map): Resistance to IMF policies in poor countries by posted by han Tuesday January 16, 2001 at 10:49 PM |
Since Seattle last year, the media has heralded the dawn of a new movement in Europe and America, epitomised by protests aimed at the WTO, IMF and the World Bank.
However, this 'new movement', portrayed by the media as students and anarchists from the rich and prosperous global north, is just the tip of the iceberg. In the global south, a far deeper and wide-ranging movement has been developing for years, largely ignored by the media.

it's the dawn of a new world. The planet has we know it is being destroyd by corruption, filthy leaders, and multi-nationals that look at now limits to achieve profit.Since the 60's youth has been controlled by the media(Goverments best weapon).Generations grew up playing video games, whatching big action movies with lot's of amazing special effects, listening to industrial music..etc,etc,etc.Enough is enough. We can already bread the sense of rebellion in the air. IT's been amazing what has happen since Seatle last year.It seems like people woke up from a long dark sleep.
My generation...we need to unity forces, all over the world to make this world, our world, our home.
