As violence continues, Al-Haq calls upon the international community to provide for the protection of Palestinian civilians living under occupation. According to al-Haq documentation, in the last two days five Palestinians have been killed bringing the total number killed to 271.

As violence continues, Al-Haq calls upon the international community to provide for the protection of Palestinian civilians living under occupation. According to al-Haq documentation, in the last two days five Palestinians have been killed bringing the total number killed to 271. They are:

Sh?hadeh Mousa Mohammad al-Jaarari, age 25, Ein Minjed, Ramallah Sh?hadeh was killed after being struck in the side by live ammunition while at work in a building near the City Inn today. His case is still under investigation.

Midhat Mohammad Subhi Jadallah, age 14, from Gaza died of wounds sustained last Thursday.

Hamza Nadi Al-Hassis, age 27, al-Samou?a, Hebron - struck with live ammunition in the heart
Al-Haq reiterates its call to all High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention to signal to the Israeli Occupation Authorities that they will not tolerate grave breaches of the Convention. Al-Haq urges the international community to pressure Israel to abide by the numerous international instruments that it has willingly ratified such as the International Covenant of Economic, Social and Cultural Rights; the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Racial Discrimination; the Covenant on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. In light of ongoing violence, and the continuing failure of the Israeli Forces to ensure the safety of the Palestinians, al-Haq again calls upon the High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention to provide and/or guarantee protection for Palestinians living under Israeli Military Occupation.
