Appeal to all organisations of workers and youth

to trade-unions, socialist, communist, anarchist, anti-capitalist and youth organisations, initiatives and campaigns

* Cancel the debt of Third World and Eastern European countries!
* Establish a democratically controlled international development bank, which would provide needed investment to education, health service, infrastructure and housing!
* Stop the dependence on multinational monopolies! Tax the MNCs and movement of speculative capital!

>From the 26th to the 28th September 2000 a combined conference of
>International Monetary Fund and the World Bank is taking place in
>Prague-capital of the Czech Republic. These, unelected and unaccountable
>organisations are responsible for crippling debt, harsh austerity
>measures, social cuts, privatisation and hunger for people of Africa,
>Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and the former USSR.

In Seattle, USA, on 30th November 1999, tens of thousands of protesters -
trade-unionists and youth - showed their opposition to these policies of
the international financial institutions on the occasion of World Trade
Organisation Conference. This conference was brought to an early end due
to the common peaceful action of trade unions and anti-capitalist
campaigners.

We the undersigned from Czech Republic support non-violent protests against
IMF/World Bank and appeal to international - especially European -
organisations and individuals, to join the mass demonstration of workers
and youth on 23rd September 2000 (about 2 p.m.) in Prague and participate
in accompanying events.

We appeal to organisations from whole of European to support our protest!
Add the name of your organisation to the list of supporters of
