After several weeks of development, the Hub_Project has been re-activated as a virtual-physical space which brings together the energies of non-hierarchical media (h)ac(k)tivists from europe and beyond.
The website acts as a hub where activists, collectives, movements and networks can come into being and common projects and shared tracks can be developed. Until now, the site has focused on major actions but in recent weeks it has undergone extensive development so that it can become a more dynamic resource. The site - which works in English, French, Spanish and Italian - concentrates on the following areas:
Media watch
(criticism and media concentration)
Alternative media systems
(autonomous media/free software/P2P/pirate tv…)
Media(h)ac(k)tivism
(media actions/hack and media labs/events/streaming…)
Information & communication control
(intellectual property/surveillance/privatization…)
Communication campaigns
(information society/civil society/community media…)
Research & analysis
(activist research/theory on communication/biotechnologies…)
Precarious labour
(infoworkers/flexworkers/chainworkers/migrants and actions…)
Social activism
(civil disobedience/subvertising/horizontal organising/meetings…)
++ The Hub_Project is now looking for people to write articles for the newswire and to join the edito team.
