Act now against Malaria

-- Onderteken een brief ter ondersteuning van de strijd tegen malaria, een ziekte die jaarlijks miljoenen mensen treft in de derde wereld. --

With only 4 days until Africa Malaria Day, April 25, we need you to sign letters telling our leaders to stop a preventable and curable disease from killing thousands of African children every day at http://www.massiveeffort.org/letters.aspx. Please take 30 seconds and do this now!

Africa Malaria Day commemorates a World Health Organization Summit in 2000 to control malaria. Reduction targets were set for 2005 but the vast majority of countries are unlikely to reach them. Many countries are administering ineffective drugs and only 2% of African children are sleeping under insecticide treated mosquito nets - which many Africa countries still tax!

This Africa Malaria Day, Massive Effort is delivering letters to key stakeholders who can mobilize the resources necessary to reach the 2005 targets: African governments, bilateral donors, the World Bank and pharmaceutical companies.

YOU can add your voice by signing these letters. To sign, either click here or visit http://www.massiveeffort.org/letters.aspx. Please CIRCULATE this information to your networks.

With sincere thanks,

Philip Coticelli
