Future World Funk collective has existed for 3 years. We are active in organising parties, sound-systems on demos, have launched our new website ( http://www.futureworldfunk.be ) and are now looking for contributions for the site.

We want to be a news-platform for all alternative music lovers, and for all people who feel music is not only about fun, but also a way of expressing views about the world and our life. For example, we gathered all tracks made against the war on Iraq (nearly 200 of them), and we have worked a lot on copyright and p2p issues.

We are now looking for other people who want to participate.
- We are primarily interested in what's happening in Belgium: concerts and party reviews and pictures, news about Belgian crews, bands and dj's.
- Then by all alternative music: as a dj collective, we are mostly into electronic dance music, but we are also into rock, jazz and other styles, so we're open to all music news (as long as it's not too commercial), and we are sure through your contributions that we and our readers will discover cool new music we didn't know before. It could be news about bands, artists and labels, records reviews, concert and parties reviews, etc.
- We are also looking for people interested in more specific issues like the music industry (majors, distribution problems, small labels,...), peer-2-peer, copyright and some social and political issues linked with music (music against war, concious hip-hop,...).
- Internet and new media, are also subjects we are open to, as well as other cultural news: graphics, books, etc... but it has to have some link with youth culture, music, or something like that... :)
- We have a diary of Belgian activities on which you can submit events ( http://www.futureworldfunk.be/agenda.php3). Please spread the word to all party and concert organisers.
- We have a play-list section where dj's and other people can post their favorite tracks each month. you're welcome to participate.

You can add news via the public form here: http://www.futureworldfunk.be/article_proposer.php3 but there's also a publication interface accessible with a login and a password, which is better for regular contributors. You just have to ask us to have access. Send us a mail at info@futureworldfunk.be
