On wednesday December 10th activists take to the streets once again to protest against Europe's largest primate vivisectioncentre, the BPRC (Biomedical Primate Research Centre) in Rijswijk, the Netherlands near The Hague. There, over 1500 monkeys(!!) are housed in horrible conditions, used in experiments and misused by the vivisectors!
This time EDEV - Een DIER Een VRIEND (An Animalfriend) is organising a huge "March of Rememberance" for every animal every animal ever died inside the BPRC since 1960 (the time the lab first opened their doors). An estimated 10.000 monkeys and an unknown number of rats, mice, pigs and other animals have died there.
Join us in the battle for their closure and the release of ALL animals inside the BPRC and be there on the 10th of December 2003. From 2.45 pm the cityhall (near the city's mall in the towncentre) is the place to gather. From here the march will lead us directly to the very gates of torture - the BPRC!
Please come in black / dark (mourning)clothes as this is a march of rememberance! Rijswijk is very easily reached with public transport as it is next to The Hague.
