The United States has imposed sanctions on China and Iran for ballistic missile cooperation, according to US documents and officials.

Een Amerikaanse ambtenaar zei dat de sancties die aan North Chinese Industries zijn opgelegd, de zwaarste straf ooit was tegen een Chinese entiteit. In Iran waren de sancties voor voor het bedrijf Shahid Hemmat Industrial Group.

"What the Chinese did with Iran is make a specific transfer that made a material contribution to the Iranian ballistic missile program," zei dezelfde ambtenaar.
