CALL FOR AN ANTI-CAPITALIST CONVERGENCE AGAINST THE INTERNATIONAL CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE 34TH WORLD CONGRESS IN DENVER, COLORADO (MAY 5TH-8TH, 2002)

Put People before Profits!

Protest corporate globalization with labor & community
allies

(below from the ICC website, http://www.iccwbo.org)

ICC World Congresses are regularly attended by the world's leading business
and political leaders.

Staged bi-annually in destinations all over the world, they are
highly-valued by participants as the forum at which decisions are made about
how business will be conducted in an emerging global economy.

More than just a talk-fest, ICC Congresses make decisions on issues of most
concern to business. The decisions reached in Denver will shape the ways
business is done in an increasingly globalized world.

Participants are traditionally drawn from ICC's membership. With more than
7,000 member companies stretched across 140 countries, ICC is the largest,
most representative business organization in the world.

The CEOs of some of the world's largest multinationals will be among the
delegates in Denver. Political leaders and heads of state are also regular
participants at ICC Congresses - seeing them as an opportunity to gauge the
mood of the world business constituency and deliver their message to its
leaders.

For security reasons, the full list of speakers is being witheld at this
moment.

--------

From May 5th to 8th business executives and government
officials of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) will come to
Denver and meet at the Denver Marriott Hotel at 1701 California Street
to discuss the role of business in the global economy. Their goals include
ever higher profits at the expense of worker, environmental and human
rights. But workers and activists in Denver are uniting to protest this
unjust vision of globalization.

We will hold a Labor/Social Forum featuring workers
from El Salvador, and
the United States:
10AM—NOON, MONDAY, MAY 6TH, 2002
TIVOLI STUDENT UNION (AURAUIRA CAMPUS), ROOM 640

Then we will Hit the streets for a rally and a march:
4:00PM RALLY & 5:00PM MARCH, MONDAY, MAY 6TH, 2002
17TH ST. AND WELTON, DOWNTOWN DENVER
(JUST OFF THE 16TH STREET MALL)

Bring the revolution to Denver. You know you want to.

Love,

Colorado Anticapitalist Convergence
