Op maandag 15 april waren we getuige van een van de gewelddadigste politieprovocaties tegen de piketten georganiseerd door militante werklozen (de zogenaamde ‘piqueteros'). Honderden werkloze arbeiders hadden de weg versperd voor het stadhuis van Lanus. Het protest werd georganiseerd door de volksvergaderingen van La fe, Villa Urquiza, La Torre, Gonet, Monte Chingolo, de kleuterschool van La Fe, het buurtcomité ‘Trabajo Y Dignidad', het glaasje-melk-project ‘Turno Tarde' en de Arbeidersbeweging van Werklozen (MTD) van Lanus, die deel uitmaakt van de nationale coördinatie van werkloze arbeiders van Aníbal Verón (CTD).

Tijdens het protest viel een man op een motorfiets de stakerspost aan en dreigde hij ermee om de piqueteros te overrijden. Toen de piqueteros hem trachtten tegen te houden haalde hij een 9mm-geweer boven en vuurde zeven schoten af op de betogers. Twee mensen raakten gewond, één ernstig. Dit is een 34-jarige kameraad die zijn werkloosheidsuitkering al twee en een halve maand niet ontvangen heeft. Hij kreeg een kogel in de buik.

De aanwezige politie en de ‘burgerwachten' chargeerden tegen de betogers en vuurden rubberen kogels af. Ze beschermden de provocateur die intussen omringd werd door het aanwezige volk. De agressor toonde zijn politie-identificatiebewijs aan de politieagenten. De motorfiets had geen nummerplaat en werd achtergelaten op de openbare weg. De werklozen en buurtbewoners wachten nog steeds op nieuws hoe het met de gewonde kameraden die naar het ziekenhuis gebracht werden, terwijl ze doorgaan met de wegblokkade. Alle aanwezigen die daar met hun kinderen aanwezig waren, werden naar huis gestuurd.

Argentina: Solidarity with the Lanus unemployed workers' movement
Two "piqueteros" wounded when police provocateurs opened fire on unemployed worker's protest

On Monday, April 15 we witnessed one of the most violent police provocations against the pickets organised by militant unemployed workers ("piqueteros"). Hundreds of unemployed workers had organised a road block in front of the Lanus town hall. The protest was organised by the Popular Assemblies of Villa Urquiza - La Torre - Gonet - Monte Chingolo, the La Fe infant school, the Neighbourhood Workshop "Trabajo y Dignidad", the Glass of Milk project "Turno Tarde" and the Unemployed Workers' Movement (MTD) of Lanus which is part of the national coordination of unemployed workers (CTD) Anibal Veron.

During the protest, a man riding a motorbike attacked the picket line trying to force his way through, threatening to ride over the "piqueteros". When the piqueteros tried to stop him, he produced a 9mm gun and fired 7 shots at the demonstrators. Two people were injured, one seriously; this is a 34 year old comrade who has not received his unemployment subsidy (plan trabajar) for two and a half months.

The police and the infantry guards present charged on the demonstrators firing rubber bullets and rescued the attacker who had been surrounded by the people.

The aggressor showed his police identification to the police officers. The motorbike had no plates and was left abandoned on the road. The unemployed workers and neighbours are still waiting for news about the health of the wounded comrades who were taken to hospital, while they maintain the road blockade. All those present who had came with kids were sent home.

SOLIDARIDAD CON LOS PIQUETEROS DE LANUS

2 PIQUETEROS HERIDOS DE BALA POR PROVOCADORES DE LA POLICIA

Mientras se realizaba un corte de Avenida frente a la Municipalidad de Lanus, en el marco de una protesta organizada por Asambleas Populares de los barrios:La Fe - Villa Urquiza - La Torre - Gonet - Monte Chingolo, la Guardería Infantil La Fe, el Obrador Barrial "Trabajo y Dignidad", la Copa de Leche "Turno Tarde" y el Movimiento de Trabajadores Desocupados de Lanœs en la CTD Aníbal Verón, se vivió el pasado lunes 15 de abril la más violenta provocación policial que se dió en los piquetes en los últimos meses.

Los hechos comenzaron cuando un motociclista agrede al piquete intentando pasar por la fuerza, amenazando con atropellar a los presentes. Cuando los piqueteros se acercan para neutralizarlos, el hombre saca una pistola 9 milímetros, disparando 7 tiros al cuerpo de los manifestantes. Hay dos personas heridas, una de gravedad con una bala que le atravezó el estómago; se trata de un compañero de 34 años, que desde hace 2 meses y medio no cobra su "plan trabajar" (subsidio de desempleo).

La policía y la guardia de infantería reprimieron a mansalva a los manifestantes, y el agresor fue rodeado y "rescatado" después de que dispararan balas de goma para alejar a la gente.

El agresor mostró su placa a la policía, idenfiticandose él mismo como tal. La moto no tenía placa de matricula y quedó abandonada en la ruta. Los desocupados y vecinos están esperando información sobre el estado de los compañeros que fueron trasladados al hospital, mientas mantienen el corte y se retiraron todas las personas que habían concurrido con niños.
