Dear madam, Dear Sir

I kindly but urgently request you to undertake all necessary steps to invite the Afghan Women's Group, RAWA, to the peace table in Bonn, which is intended to shape the future of Afghanistan.
As stated and acknowledged many times, women should not be excluded from the peace negotiations and women at the peacetable can make the difference.
There can be no democratic future or durable solution for Afghanistan, without the equal participation of women and without engendering the peace talks.

I kindly remind you of the need to fully implement Resolution 1325, which specifically advocates the involvement> of women in all of the implementation mechanisms of conflict resolution, and which was unanimously
adopted by the UN Security Council last year.

RAWA, and to a lesser but important extent other Afghan women refugees in Pakistan, have sustained and nurtured vast communities throughout their country's decades of conflict. Theirs is a rightful place at any table
contemplating the future of Afghanistan.
