Cuba: Everything is not Lost Yet

Havana, September 19 ( AIN) Under the commotion effect occurred in the world because of the sad and brutal news of the terrorist attack against the North American people, on September 11 , accompanied by horrible images of suffering and pain. Minds dominated by feelings of hate and arrogance have let themselves to the sinister task of reviving old methods and doctrines, that are right in the seed of terrorism itself and the grave tensions being created today in the world.

In moments in which the only thing advisable is the serene and courageous search of definitive solutions to terrorism and other tragedies by universal consensus.

Cruel phrases are heard , pronounced with anger and revenge spirit , by important leaders of USA, not heard from the times of the Second World War.

Any honest person, would have the right to ask itself if what it is being looked for is real justice or to use this painful and unbelievable tragedy to impose , methods , prerogatives and privileges leading to the tyranny of the most powerful state of the world, without limit nor restriction whatsoever, over all peoples on earth.

It is openly proclaimed by some important officers, to raise all restriction to the right of murdering to any people by institutions and officers of the USA, including the use of criminals and delinquents of the worst origin for that.

Such prerogative was used by governors of USA to eliminate patriotic leaders such as : Patricio Lumumba in the year 1961, to organize coup d´etat and genocide that have cost thousands of life and millions of tortured peoples, disappeared or eliminated in any way. Cuba has denounced hundreds of attempts plans against its leaders , and has not rested to claim punishment for the responsible and authors on uncountable acts of terrorism that have cost a high number of victims to our people. The senate itself , of USA investigated and denounced several of these deeds against Cuba in which various devices were used not excluding any rude and repugnant form of killing. A whole science was developed around those purposes.

The world has not unanimously supported , nor expressed their most sincere condolence to the noble North American people, so over these feelings , be elaborating doctrines that might seed chaos and bloody facts on the planet. As grave as terrorism, and one of its most execrable forms , it is that a state claims the right to kill with discretion in any corner of the world without legal norms , nor trials or proves . such a policy would constitute a barbarian and uncivilized fact that might spoil all legal norms and basis over peace that should be based and the coexistence among nations.

In the middle of the panic and confusion , originated by the situation created , the political leaders of the different states , in spite of the extreme seriousness that might mean the introduction of these procedures in the international policy , but exceptions , they have not pronounced a single word about the emergence of fascist and terrorist tendencies that such pronouncements imply.

One of the first results, have been hundreds of xenophobe and terror acts against peoples of different nationality and religion. The North American people would not be part of the brutal method of cold killing to other peoples , to violate laws, to punish without proves and deny principles of elemental equity and justice to combat terrorism, no matter what repugnant or unscrupulous they be. They are methods that might lead to the planet to the wild law . they would stain USA, they would destroy its prestige and would encourage hates that today are the cause of so much pain and sadness.

The North American people wants justice! Not vengeance!

Cuba expressed from the first moment that no problem of the present world could be solved by force; in order to face terrorism. it is necessary to form conscious an universal union to eliminate and to put an end ,to this and other conflicts and tragedies that jeopardize even existence of the specie.

Although war shakes sound with incredible force that might lead to a bloody outcome , not everything is lost yet. The Afghanistan´s ulemas , religious leaders of a traditional people a courageous and brave one are all gathered to adopt fundamental decisions. They have said they will not oppose themselves to the application of justice and the pertinent procedures, if the accused of the facts residing in their country, are guilty. They have simply asked for proves , they have asked impartial guarantees and equity in the process , something that the United Nations Organization with full support of the International Community can perfectly ascertain.

If such proves exist, as, the leaders of the North American government categorically affirm and the religious leaders are not demanded to go over the deepest faith believes , as it is already known , they defend even death; an alternative to war can be found. They would not useless sacrifice their people, if what is being asked ,irrefutable ethical, is taking into account. Blood sheds would be saved . This could be the first step towards a world without terrorism nor impunity crimes : a true world association for peace and justice. Cuba would support without hesitation a solution of this kind. But a minute can not be lost , not much time is being left. Without this elemental , simple and possible effort , war would be unfair.
