Action at the dutch parliament on M28

On M28 around 20 activists staged a 'bloodbath' in the entrance hall of the dutch parliament in Den Haag as a protest against the dutch participation in the infamous 'plan colombia'.

The government of the Netherlands is considering reaffirming the so called FOL contracts (Forward Operation Locations) giving the US millitary access to the dutch airforce bases on the caribean islands of Aruba and Curacao (the last dutch colonies!) as a base for surveillance flights officially limited to airspace above sea. Flight schedules and routes remain a millitary secret. recent airspace violation incidents above Venezuela have raised doubt about the real objectives of the spy missions. It is likely that planes starting from the antillian bases go far into colombian airspace to gather millitary intelligence that the US secret services forward to the colombian army which then passes it on to paramillitary groups, reponsible for numerous atrocities. This kind of information is likely to be an essential support for thesee groups in their fight against the colombian guerilla and at a large extent also aginst the rural colombian population.

The (non)violent action took place a short while before a debate about the issue was to take place in parliament. a first group of 'innocent colombian farmers' entered the hall 'peacefully and democratically' demonstrating against plan colombia shortafter followed by 'geoge bush' and a group of colombian (para)millitary that took car of the matter the colombian way. Everybody was 'shot' in a 'horrendeous bloodbath' ! The dutch MPs that would discuss the issue a while later had to make their way through a pile of 'corpses' and a 'sea of blood'.

The dutch police , obviously quite surprised, watched the action till its bitter and then 'the death squadron' and its 'victims'. Ironically they where charged with 'public violence'(sic) against the floor and the carpet. In good tradition of activism in the netehrlands all remained silent and anonymous. today M29 everybody was released and summoned to appear in cort on 3rd of september in Den Haag.

The dutch parliament will vote on the reafirmation of the FOL contracts today. Please contact the dutch embassies and consulates to protest the (inderect) participation of their army in the war in colombia
